Below are answers to most common financial questions we receive from parents. Additional assistance may be available through education loans. We offer limited financial assistance to families in need.

Academy Financial FAQs

Q. Are there additional costs?

Your student may incur additional expenses. This includes prescription medication costs if your child gets sick, additional airline expenses for traveling to or returning home from the program, all clothing and equipment necessary to participate, a technology fee, and a $1,200 per year debit account set-up for your student’s spending money.

Q. What types of payments does SOAR accept?

Enrollment In The Academy At SOAR Is Not Required For The Spanish Immersion Program.

Spanish I, II, & III through the Academy’s Spanish Immersion program is not included in the Academy tuition.

Academy Financial Policies

Financial Policies

Upon Application

Applicants will be required to submit a $100 non-refundable application fee.

Upon Acceptance

Within three days after acceptance, a $5,000, non-refundable enrollment deposit is due. The enrollment deposit will be applied toward the tuition balance.

Due Dates

A deposit is required within 72 hours of your acceptance to secure your student’s placement. Payments may be made in year, semester, or bi-semester installments. If paying by semester, you agree to pay the fall semester tuition no later than July 15th and the spring semester tuition no later than November 15th. Other installment plans may carry a finance fee. The Finance Department can provide greater detail on payment schedules and methods by emailing finance@sienna-parrot-695321.hostingersite.com.

Payment Policies

When completing your application, you will be required to submit payment information for all future billing, including tuition balances and additional expenses that may occur.

Families who pay tuition for the entire year by July 15th will receive a tuition reduction of $1,000.

No services will be delivered to the student until tuition has been received.

Refund Policy

Any student enrolled in the Academy at SOAR is expected to complete the Academic Term. Withdrawal or dismissal of a student before the close of the Academic Term will result in forfeiture of the unused paid portions of the tuition, fees and costs, and the family shall remain obligated to complete payment in full for tuition, fees and costs for the entire academic term. A family who cancels their student’s enrollment within seven (7) days of signing the enrollment agreement prior to the first day of school receives all monies returned, with the exception of the non-refundable registration deposit fee.

Damage to Equipment

Although we take precautions to ensure gear is treated respectfully, we reserve the right to charge students for damage done to SOAR equipment due to negligence or non-compliance. This may include damage to tents, rental vans, cabins, etc. Parents will be notified of the damage that occurred.

Spending Money

Students will be required to come to the Academy at SOAR with access to a debit account with funds in the amount of $1,200 ($600 Fall Term / $600 Spring Term). This will be used to help teach fiscal responsibility, budgeting, and accountability.

Looking for other LD and ADHD scholarships? Based on our research, it seems like there aren’t that many ADHD scholarship opportunities at the pre-collegiate level, but here are a few resources we’ve been able to track down:

Laptop or PC

The National Cristina Foundation (NCF) provides computer technology, training, and solutions to people with disabilities, students at risk and economically disadvantaged persons.

ADHD/LD Financial Assistance in Florida

The John M. McKay Program for Students with Disabilities offers financial assistance to families seeking school placements (public or private) for a child with a disability.

ADHD Scholarships for Educational or Enrichment

  • Check local chapters of the International Kiwanis Club to find out about their scholarship opportunities. Search for your local International Kiwanis Club here.
  • Check local chapters of the Lions Club International to learn about their scholarship opportunities. Search for your local Lions Club International here.
  • Check with your local Rotary Club to learn about scholarships for travel and study overseas. Search for your local Rotary Clubs here.
    Check with the state and local chapters of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order Elks of the World to find out about their scholarship opportunities. Search for your state or local chapter here.

Spanish Immersion Financial Policies

Upon Application

Applicants will be required to submit a $100 non-refundable application fee.

Upon Acceptance

Due Dates

May 1st – minimum payment of 50% of the full year tuition is due on or before this date.

No services will be delivered to the student until both the tuition and $150 technology fee have been received.
